10.30pm JIMI HENDRIX SPECIAL: This February, we’re paying homage to the greatest guitarist in history.

Jimi Hendrix’s mainstream career only spanned four years. However, in that time he imprinted himself as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. His guitar skills have become the stuff of legend, and the envy of musicians the world over.

After serving as a paratrooper in 101st Airborne division of the U.S. Army, he recorded a string of extremely successful hits alongside his band the Jimi Hendrix experience. He recorded three full length studio albums before his untimely death aged 27.

Come and get down to the sounds of the tunes we know and love, from All Along the Watchtower, to Purple Haze, Hey Joe and The Wind Cries Mary.

12:45AM THE BEEKAYS: ON THE LATE SLOT THIS WEEK ARE THE BLUES KITCHEN’S RESIDENT BAND THE BEEKAYS playing rock and soul classics until the early hours.

+ DJ Culture Cuts PLAYING THE FINEST VINTAGE SOUL SOUNDS UNTIL 2:30AM.
