Concert Hall:

The Story of Miles Davis

We take you on a journey through the music of Miles Davis with a rising star of the British jazz scene.
Trumpeter Davis is among the most influential and acclaimed figures not just in the history of jazz, but music itself. For nearly half a century he was at the cutting edge of the genre, pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo at every turn.

It’s fitting that we honour such an icon with one of the most exciting players around right now. At just 20 years old, Olivia’s been setting her hometown of London and her adopted home of Leeds alight with blistering chops and a maturity beyond her years.

Performing two sets of Davis’ compositions through time, Olivia and her Quintet take us on a journey from the hits of the 50s and 60s, including classics from LPs like “Workin’”, “Milestones” and “Kind of Blue”, through to some of his final works in the 80s.

Line Up:

Olivia Cuttill – Trumpet/band leader
James Absolom – Tenor Saxophone
Miles Pillinger – Drums
Tom Harris – Piano
Elliot Roffe – Bass

Please note this is a seated show. Doors to the Concert Hall open upstairs at 7pm, arrive early to get the best spots.
