We celebrate 50 years of Curtis Mayfield’s soundtrack masterpiece with Manchester’s finest musical outfit.
The funk and soul classic contains some of the greatest tracks of the 70s: “Pusherman”, “Freddie’s Dead” and “Superfly” all feature to create a rare soundtrack in which the music well and truly outgrew the accompanying film.
Joining us on the night are The Untold Orchestra, a band at the heart of Manchester’s scene, who’ll deliver a uniquely thrilling performance of the entire album from front to back.
